I'm sitting at an internet cafe of some sorts and thought I'd fill you in on my exciting vacation her in Vietnam. I've been here for over a week now and we're doing what we always do when we visit our relatives here. Wake up, have someone (a relative) take us out for breakfast and sometimes even for a little shopping afterwards, come home to watch television (they even have foreign channels such as HBO and MTV now), eat lunch, have some relatives over to chat and catch up (mostly my father, my answers usually consist of one or two words), taking a shower, then having dinner, more television, if it doesn't rain we'll go out to have a drink (juice or smoothie), come home for more television and then bed.
We've been to an amusement park and a city called Can Tho, but it rained too much at our last location for us to enjoy it. We've also been to the beach twice, but it rained, so we left pretty early. We were supposed to travel northward, but were put off by the bad weather and the long journey, so things are a little undecided for the moment.
It might sound like I'm not enjoying my stay, but I'm just a little cranky for the moment. I've had a headache all day and my stomach is threatening to dispose of my breakfast. Not at the right end... My father decided I needed a little walk, so we went to this... internet cafe, and surprise, surprise, I'm feeling a little better, perhaps even a little hungry.
I hope everything and everyone is well wherever they are. I am not looking forward to the journey back, though the food on the airplane has improved significantly since last time I flew with this company. And the entertainment is much better for those who choose to be awake for twelve hours.
I don't want to worry about going back yet, not when I still have days left of 30 degrees Celsius in the water and lots of opportunities to shop and get a tan. And of course, improve my Vietnamese vocabulary, so I don't speak like a three year old...
